  • Presentazione: Could you introduce yourself? Why did you decide to become a teacher? What do you enjoy most about teaching?
  • Inclusione: How would you support a student with dyslexia? How do you include students who don't speak Italian well?
  • Digitale: How do you use technology in your lessons? What are the risks of using smartphones in class?
  • Valutazione: How do you assess your students? What is the difference between formative and summative assessment?
  • Gestione della classe: How do you deal with a student who keeps disrupting the lesson? How do you motivate a class that is not interested?
  • Opinione: Should homework be abolished? Are smartphones in schools more useful or harmful?

Un esempio di risposta: l'inclusione

Domanda: "How would you support a student with dyslexia in your class?"

First of all, I would read the student's personalised learning plan and talk to the family and to my colleagues, so that we all work in the same direction. In class, I would give instructions both orally and in writing, use clear fonts and plenty of visual support, such as diagrams and mind maps. I would also allow extra time for written tasks and let the student use compensatory tools, like a text-to-speech app. Above all, I think it's important not to make the student feel different: many of these strategies actually help the whole class.

Circa 100 parole, poco più di un minuto: una sequenza chiara (first of all, in class, above all), lessico preciso (personalised learning plan, compensatory tools) e una conclusione personale. È quello che la commissione vuole sentire.

Un esempio di risposta: un'opinione

Domanda: "Should smartphones be banned in schools?"

I don't think a total ban is the best solution. Smartphones can be a real distraction, and there is evidence that they affect concentration, so I agree they shouldn't be used freely during lessons. On the other hand, they can be a useful learning tool, for example for quick research or quizzes. In my view, the best approach is clear rules: phones are kept away by default and used only when the teacher decides there is a clear educational purpose.

Frasi utili davanti alla commissione

  • Prendere tempo: That's an interesting question. Let me think for a moment.
  • Strutturare: First of all, ... / Secondly, ... / Finally, ...
  • Portare un esempio: For instance, in my class last year, ...
  • Considerare l'altro lato: Having said that, ... / On the other hand, ...
  • Chiedere di ripetere: Sorry, could you repeat the question, please?
  • Concludere: So, to sum up, I believe that ...

Gli errori che costano di più

  3. Errori "da italiano": I am teacher (giusto: I am a teacher), the students are very motivate (giusto: motivated), I teach since 2018 (giusto: I have been teaching since 2018).
